From pictures and documentary images I reconstructed the flag of the organisation Bescherming Bevolking [Protection Population]. Widely known as the BB, it was the volunteer civil defense organisation of the Netherlands. It was founded in 1952 and disbanded in 1980.

The Civil Defense (stichting Bescherming Bevolking, BB) had to protect the Dutch citizens against the possible  consequences of a Third World War against the Soviet Union. Because the foundation depended on volunteers it produced a lot of materials for recruitment and information.
